  • 165 British pounds
  • Central London, UK

Course Description

Indian head massage, also known as, 'Champissage,' is a traditional Indian massage technique for treating the upper back, neck, shoulders, face and scalp. This massage has been developed from traditional techniques practised throughout India over thousands of years, and has a deep and profound effect on the client, leaving them feeling relaxed, spiritually calm, de-stressed, rejuvenated and uplifted. On this course, students will learn how to perform a practical Indian head massage. They will learn the basic history of this massage, it origins from the Ayurvedic tradition, and adaptations to the modern practice. Students will gain an understanding of chakra balancing and knowledge of the seven major chakras, nadis, prana and marma points. Students will also be able to carry out a client consultation, and learn the benefits, cautions, contraindications and aftercare for this therapy. This is a one-day professional, accredited and insurable practitioner's diploma course. Students will receive a course manual on the day of training, as well as a certificate upon successful completion of the course (subject to satisfying practical requirements), and access to a professional training video demonstrating the massage routine and key techniques. This course is suitable for all levels of experience and qualification, though some previous experience or understanding of massage is beneficial.
